Trauma Informed Interpreting Training

ASL is a direct and descriptive language. Because it’s so visual, when an interpreter is using trauma-sensitive interpreting, signs may be replaced with signs or gestures that are more neutral.

Receive a Basic level specialized training in the field of trauma informed interpreting. Through this workshop, you will better understand the definition of ‘trauma’, how it affects ASL interpreters and their process and production when working with survivors.
